The Oldest Sister

The Oldest Sister is reserved by habit and nature.  Her mouth is thin and straight, near parallel to the brows that rest above young, almond eyes.  Maybe not much noise comes out of the Oldest Sister purely because of her physicality, and that's what has (over time) stopped her from opening her mouth at all.  In the thick of her New Wave phase, the Oldest sports a plume of artfully unkempt hair. The Second Youngest mimicked this one year later, but branched toward even more dissonant musical genres and buzzed the sides like a soldier by the ears.  One major difference, however, was in the two sisters' hair texture. The Oldest had a defiantly pin straight mop despite the islands’ unforgiving humidity, while the other three girls resembled the illustrations of Southeast Asian goddesses like in the books their father brought back from business trips.  The Oldest did not tan the same or gain weight in the same places as the rest of her sisters.

In high school, she shines in writing.  Her three sisters serve as team captains for multiple sports while the Oldest quietly supports them as scorekeeper.  She has a penchant for fashion and an introverted love of music, never in a social sense but as means of collection, of curating, of having something with which to identify.  The Oldest's tastes are fine, as she is in stature-- willowy and delicate, yet steely and impenetrable.
