The Second Sister
Considered the level-headed family moderator, the Second Oldest always keeps her cool. Varsity jock, art star, family favorite. Driven and a bit of a prude, yet flighty-- a daydreamer with two feet on the ground.
Once, in 7th grade, she covered her desk with intricate pencil drawings of roses. Her teacher noticed during a lesson, stopped what she was talking about, then stooped down to tell her how beautiful her work was, handed her a blank piece of paper, and kindly asked her to clean up after class. Blame is never placed on the Second, even if she is an accomplice of a reprehensible deed (an incredibly rare act in itself).
Active and “ladylike,” the Second is often casually late and wins four separate high school superlatives (best dressed, most artistic, most athletic, best smile). She is gracious, regal in energy, and has a cosmic ability to put those around her at ease. The Second is particularly admired by the Youngest.
Her life is carefully constructed through mindful precision, straight edges and sun patches. She loves the concept of wabi sabi and is especially interested in architecture and interiors. At a young age, the Second is an expert of making a house a home. “Everything needs its Place,” she says.
