The Youngest Sister

The Youngest Sister has more in common with her mother than she will ever admit. A bonafide beauty, the Youngest possessed a star quality from an early age and is well aware of her charm.  Like all the girls, she dreamed big, but her dreams involved more pageantry than the others'. She gets what she wants when she wants it. Never out of tyranny. She just has that energy about her.

When she grows up, she wants to be a spy, an actress, a flight attendant, and work at the UN like her dad.  Her ideas of the future were glittery and in grasp. As any youngest would, she absorbs artifacts and -isms of her older sisters, usually just trying them on for size as she grows into her own.

Her father called her Monchichi as a child, because of her unruly black hair straight from the womb.  She has a compulsion to collect monkeys. Plush monkeys. Monkey erasers. Monkey cuckoo clocks.  Monkey serving platters.

But at this juncture, she was hardly aware of her lady-growth.  The nickname her dad gave was weening off of her preteen frame, in that mushy stage between “girlhood” and “womanhood”.  She likes pop music, and sports, and monkeys (most mammals, really), and her lucky velour scrunchy, and trips like the one her family is on right now.
